Hi Kipling Fans!
Earlier in March I had the privilege of launching Kipling on QVC in the USA! It has been a long time coming and I was certain that America was going to love Kipling!
I went armed with my Sumida Grey & Pink combo and also my Yubin luggage in Flash blue – very handy for spotting on the carousel (as well as the pink creativity purse, my laptop case in cabbage, and puppy wash bag not addicted, promise
Seriously I didn’t get out of the airport without people commenting “Oh honey that is so cute, is that a monkey? Oh my gad I want one” – a good sign I felt
The QVC empire is huge across the Atlantic, broadcasting live 24 hours a day to the entire nation from Philadelphia.
I arrived for some training “American style” which was really good as the Americans have a natural selling ability in their confidence.
We launched Kipling with the Maceio, I only had 7 minutes but it was incredible! Selling out in certain colours and making a strong introduction to the American public. I accidentally used the odd English word like ‘grubby’ and ‘mobile’ to which the response was…”Oh wait, did you just say grubby?! Oh my gad you are so English I love it” I would recommend any Brit to go over there just because our accent seems to be so effective!
After that I flew to LA to see friends but having only been there a day and a half I received a phone call from Kipling asking me to go on air with another bag due to the successful launch QVC USA.
So I took the 6 hour flight to appear again with the Itska bag, 6 minutes on air it also favoured well with the USA ladies.
So after the second successful appearance I flew back to LA to stay with a Hollywood producer and his wife and now I can safely say she is also converted to Kipling! It was so much fun to travel over there and meet Kipling in the USA as well as QVC.
I hope to be going back in the near future…
Love Marie Francoise
